European exchange

Each national Hub develops its own local network while contributing to a wider European community.

The EU FOODPACT Community Food Education Hubs are collaborative spaces where people and organisations come together to build a more sustainable, resilient and innovative agri-food sector.

Each Hub connects micro, small and medium-sized agri-food businesses with educators, Chambers of Commerce, certification bodies, policymakers and community organisations. By working together, they identify real challenges, test practical solutions, and shape policies that better support sustainable food businesses.

All the Hubs address a common challenge: while many small agri-food businesses want to become more sustainable, improve their digital skills or prepare for certification, they often lack access to the right guidance, training and support networks. At the same time, education providers, public authorities and business support organisations do not always have enough direct contact with the everyday needs of these businesses.

Each national Hub develops its own local network while contributing to a wider European community. Together, the Hubs create opportunities for collaboration, learning and policy experimentation across partner countries.

Through the Hubs, EU FOODPACT is building:

Strong local partnerships between businesses, education providers, public authorities and community organisations.

A shared methodology for collaboration, co-design and policy testing.

Practical solutions that respond to the real needs of agri-food MSMEs.

Networks that encourage knowledge exchange, innovation and certification readiness.

A European platform where successful practices and policy insights can be shared across countries.

How the Hubs bridge the gap

The EU FOOD PACT Community Food Education Hubs bridge this gap by creating practical, action-oriented spaces where stakeholders can:

Share knowledge and experiences.

Identify local challenges and opportunities.

Co-design and test innovative solutions.

Support businesses in sustainability, certification and digital transformation.

Exchange ideas that can influence future policies and strengthen local food systems.
